If I'm a minor can I take myself to the hospital?
I'm 16 and I'm considering taking myself to the hospital because I'm very addicted to cutting and suicidal. Yes, I know that my parents will be contacted. I keep telling them I need help but they don't believe me so I figured it'd be smart to take action for myself. Maybe they'll believe me then. Is this a good idea?
Yes! Please do it. You are an amazing person for wanting and seeking help for this problem. I went threw the same thing about two or so years ago. I wish I could have gotten help. I took it to far one time and ended up almost dead. You can even go to your school councler at school and they HAVE to tell someone there's all sorts of laws out there now that can help you get help.
PLEASE please get help, don't let it go to far.
