Who is more badass master chief or optimus prime? In rotf optimus takes on megatron and 2 other decepticons and gives that epic quote. In the halo 3 trailer MC runs and jumps down on a cheiftain with a pack of brutes an wraiths around him.
Optimus Prime... He's taken more beatings than Master Chief ever could. Not to mention the physical damage a giant robot can withstand is probably more than an armored up super soldier ever could. Optimus Prime has also been alive for at least 9 million years and many millions of it has been dedicated to beating the crap out of Decepticons. Prime has died an been brought back to life countless times in various continuities. At least twice in the original cartoon from the 80's. Not to mention that Optimus Prime has many great quotes and an awesome set of moral beliefs. In the old cartoon he never really killed anything. Not to mention he doesn't particularly like it when he does have to take a life. The newer moves, despite how great they are, show him as being a little more aggressive. And although he is a little more aggressive in battle, he's still an admirable character.
To me, Master Chief is just another one of those "I have a unique helmet design" guys that was created when it was a trend to make them a few years ago.
