Needless to say i used to be extremely excited when I heard the announcement of your title at E3 also it became my most anticipated game from the year. I was also very pleased to hear that this game would be formulated by retro studios who sadly are held in very high regard making use of their Metroid prime series. But has the Return been high quality?
For the most aspect.....Yes.
The best section of the game for me personally was retro studios decision to keep the same difficulty associated with the original games. THE GAME IS TOUGH! Collecting every puzzle element and KONG letters for any game is a complicated, but very enjoyable activity! Is that not hard enough to suit your needs? Try and get your gold medal on every level over time Attack! Time attack is a spped run mode that will use to the max hardcore of players squash the controller with disappointment. This will keep you coming back for more for many years.
It is difficult to do to determine if this game shall be too hard and difficult to the younger or casual game player, But I think its safe to express much fun can be had here from the younger or casual gamer just seeking to play through the levels.
The Graphics and art style for this game is top notch (which might be expected from retro studios) i'd personally say a step earlier mentioned New Super Mario Bros that this game takes heavy influence from. That being said I dont find the nostalgia of the first donkey kong country games after i play this game. But yet again WHEN I wasnt expecting that to happen with this game. Dont get my family wrong, the graphics and visual are great but should the original donkey kong country games arrived on the scene the visuals were innovative! Still to this daytime nothing matches the looks of that game, and I may give this game a free give that topic.
The game also gets increasingly fun just like you progress through the online game, the level design along with level interaction are fantastic! It is also good to find out a return of mine carts and perhaps Rambi!

Co-op is horrible. I never expected it to be any good especially since I heard it might be very similar to fresh Super Mario Bros. Me and my wife much rather play one particular player and take transforms everytime we die or get to a checkpoint. This could be the most critical aspect with the game for me especially since the 2 player mode within the original games worked flawlessly! The ability to switch characters on demand having select allowed you to promote each others abilities. I dont mind nintendo attempting to add these new co-op settings to there games, but jointly really add a VINTAGE 2 player mode also and the player can come up for themselves. Like mentioned earlier, the only adventure that got this suitable was Kirbys Epic Yarn.
The decision to offer the game motion controls with no choice of opting away from them was also a very poor decision. This has been one of the most heated debates with the game. I dont believe this totally breaks the overall game like some reviewers feel but I also dont think it can make it better. It is less difficult to perform a roll with push with the button then a manipulate waggle. Its simply significantly less responsive. The option to own full classic controller support might have been an easy and welcome inclusion into the game (hint hint for game sequel) And for those who fully support the waggle roll due to this game, have you tried completing enough time attack levels using that roll? to obtain a gold you need to roll almost the overall level leaving you together with very sore and clumsy gameplay.
My final cons are with the bonus levels and people. The bonus barrel degrees are extremely repetitive. They cycle throughout the same 4 or five in the entire game.
Its also unfortunate that rambi will be only animal friend amongst people which you can ride. One of the best reasons for the originals are all of the animal friends that will let you on your way. this specific game only has you. And he doesnt appear commonly.
