Are you tired of marketing seen in the movies?
I went to see "Iron Man" recently and I loved the movie, but I got tired of feeling that Burger King, Audi, and Verizon was trying to mess with my psyche. I spent $ 9 to enter the film (and that was with my discount student!), but then I got into the film and advertisers are still trying to sell things. and then to make matters worse, the season of summer blockbusters among us can guarantee that fast food companies and all other major outlets of entertainment, promotional tie-ins do with movies. Am the only one tired of movies not only be more movies? Why do we need action figures, video games, shirts, refreshments and many other tie-ins? Why not a good movie just be a good movie more? Why big businesses run films in the soil over merchandising and marketing?
see 'Iron Man' was the first time I felt uncomfortable with the amount of advertising – Audi was in the face at all and Burger King was amazing! i think there is no need for it, my main problem with it is that kind of bubble pops and brings the film back to reality. Also, on TV, when I'm watching Lost, the upcoming Bionic Woman flashing at the bottom of the screen is the most annoying thing that could pop up! lol!
