Star Wars franchise is a landmark close to the hearts of millions of people around the world. Since 1977 George Lucas, fictional universe has captured the imagination of children and adults, men and women. For some, Star Wars has become an obsession and there is no real need for many to know all the facts about the film series, computer games, comics and toys. Here are some facts less known about the beloved franchise.

One of the most famous Star Wars characters, Han Solo, was not originally going to be played by Harrison Ford. The paper was actually first offered to Jeff Goldblum. The actor turned down the role to appear in "Annie Hall" Woody Allen.

Although Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back was a financial success, the third film, Return of the Jedi, is facing difficulties in receiving the green light of the study. The study was the denial from which the film was made until George Lucas had created a detailed marketing plan with the most child-friendly to the market toys, games, etc.
